A Nevada judge has set a preliminary hearing for a fashion model from Hong Kong who was arrested on a drug charge at the Burning Man counterculture festival over the Labor Day weekend.
Pershing County Deputy District Attorney Bryce Shields says Rosemary Vandenbroucke will not have to appear at the Feb. 9 hearing in Lovelock, which will determine whether there is enough evidence for trial.
The 28-year-old model also faces three misdemeanor charges related to crashing a rented motor home into Reno's landmark arch the day after her arrest at the desert festival 100 miles north of the city. That trial is set for Dec. 8 in Reno Municipal Court.
Her Reno lawyer, Tammy Riggs, says she maintains her innocence.
